Action: These students created math games with multiplication and division. After teaching their games in stations, one student said, "Their systems work!!" Nothing better then knowing your students love learning and helping others learn. I also love seeing my girls grow more and more confident in their math skills. Train those brains and keep working at it! One student asked, "Can we be in charge of creating games for the math challenge stations this year?" Well, you sure can!! Sometimes as teachers, we get in the way of learning. Step aside and let learning happen!! While exploring our count-bys for 10..we discussed things that come in 10s. When we go to decades, one of my students said, "Mrs. Bechtel, I don't know if you'll be living in the next century." I don't think so either. It prompted a fun inquiry into, How many decades are in a century? Recess at 7:45am...yes, sometimes you have to flip your day and get the wiggles out. It was chilly, but worth it. Ending our week, knowing that we are making a difference and loving every minute of it. Thanks to all who supported our goal of raising $100.00 for Malia's CHD Heart Walk. We were able to pass our goal and raise $200.00. The best part, we earned it doing chores and selling lemonade. These are caring students!!!
