Thank you to all the parents and volunteers who made our first year in the new building a success. We had some bumps along the road...and some water:) But with each bump, our CIS community pulled together and we made it through with smiles on our faces. If you can't remember all that we did together, just look through all the blog posts! 38 posts were made this school year alone (158 hours). Every single posts is a beautiful reminder of what can be created when you KNOW~CARE-DO.
Thank you for supporting me this year in my new position. I wasn't sure how to exactly approach it, with being needed in many different ways. I woke up each day with one goal, to put students first and to keep smiling. It was nice being in the cafe each day (even when I was passing the garbage can and wiping tables), just chatting with students and finding out how school was going, was encouraging. Being out of the classroom, this was my way to connect daily and make sure that I was always...still, listening.
I hope this blog, the newsletter, and any instructional/data support I was able to provide this school year, helped you and your family. Consistent communication and strong relationships provide great home/school connections and make learning better.
I hope you and your family have a beautiful summer together. Maybe I'll see you at:
- Wade Oval Wednesdays
- Edgewater Live
- The Cleveland Metroparks
- Night Market
- Or one of the many fun things happening in our city!
