I am so excited to have my second graders back as third graders...and to welcome 5 new CIS students to our family. What a great team to be a part of. As we begin the new year, I thought we should revisit our Essential Agreements and what it means to show empathy and compassion towards others. I found some great books that illustrate being Open-Minded and Respectful of others. If you have some books that would help us rebuild our Caring Community, please bring them in to share. 

We will also revisit the Action Cycle. When you Know about something/someone, you Care more, and you want to Do something...What are some of the little things we can do to make a difference? I have some ideas and can't wait to hear yours. 

I look forward to learning with you this year in THIRD GRADE!!!

I moved our timeline into the hall so we can share our learning with others. Our units are not in the same order as grade two. See if you can figure out the changes.

Don't forget to complete your summer reading assignment by August 31st. We will celebrate our reading with ice cream on Thursday, September 1st.
